ReplyDeleteA fully grown human has 206 bones
but when you'r born you have 300 bones
DeleteThat's really interesting Lachlan, can you explain why we have more bones when we are born?
DeleteArthritis is not a myth

DeleteHi Cale, you are correct, it is definitely not a myth - do you think you can you explain more about what Arthritis is?
Deletewhat causes bruising?
ReplyDeleteBruising is caused when we bump into something. The reason it's purple/yellow/black is because it's a tear in the blood vessels under the skin.
Good Chantal. So what actually make the colour, when blood is red?
DeleteYou cant get arthritis by cracking your knuckles and its not a myth.
ReplyDeleteGood Isaac. So why does cracking your knuckles - cause arthritis in our hands/knuckles?
Deleteit doesn't cause arthritis
DeleteWhat causes bruising?
ReplyDeleteBruises are the result of microscopic tears in blood vessels under the skin.
Good Abby.
DeleteWhy do we have a coccyx bone?
ReplyDeletewe use to have a tail (coccyx bone) and used it for balance but when we learnt to walk we didn't need it
Good answer, but maybe you need to expand or think a little bit more - as it sounds like we are born with a tail and when we learn to walk as a baby it disappears. I know what yo mean... but you may need to a bit clearer in your explanation.

ReplyDeleteWhy do we blink? Tear glands in the outside corners of your eyes are always making tears, and the blinking of your eyelids wipes them away. That keeps the front surfaces of your eyes moist and clean.
ReplyDeleteGood answer, but can you explain how it is linked to the Muscle system as well?
DeleteWhat is double jointed?
ReplyDeleteDouble Jointed is an unusual thing that happens in joints. It tends to occur in fingers, hands and some times arms and Legs.
good, but have you explained what it means? so it is unusual, but what is it?
DeleteWhy do you have to stretch? When you sleep, your muscles lose tone and fluid tends to pool along your back. Stretching helps to massage fluid gently back into the normal position.
ReplyDeleteGreat answer Lucy. Well done. I have learnt something here.
DeleteWhat is double jointed?
ReplyDeletehaving unusually flexible joints. usually in fingers, arms or legs
good Chantal, how flexible are they, before they are actually called double jointed.
DeleteWhy do we sweat?
ReplyDeleteit maintains our body temperature to cool us.
Good answer Hayden.
DeleteWhy does our collarbone break easily? because its not very strong
ReplyDeleteWhy is it not very strong?
DeleteBecause your bones in-between your sternum and your shoulder are very slender and our ligaments are not very strong there
DeleteBecause your bones in-between your sternum and your shoulder are very slender and our ligaments are not very strong there
DeleteHumans blink about 25 times a minute. Blinking is the eyes way of getting rid of the tear glands on your eyes.
ReplyDeleteGood answer, can you relate it to the mucsular system?
DeleteQ. How do bones heal?
ReplyDeleteA. Your bones produce new cells and blood vessels that build up on both ends of the break and rebuild the bone.
Good answer Casey. So our bones are constantly breaking and mending? Do we feel this breaking and fixing at all?

ReplyDeletewhy do we sweat?
ReplyDeletewe sweat because is keeps us from over heating
Good answer Jye
DeleteWhy are our bones white?
ReplyDeleteOur teeth and bones are hard. They are made of calcium phosphate, they are white due to their chemical composition.
Good answer Abby. Calcium phosphate is a white compound.
DeleteWhat happens if we didn't have muscles? If you didn't have muscles, you would not be able to move at all.
ReplyDeleteYep, that is correct Lucy.
DeleteWhat makes our muscles grow?
ReplyDeleteit's when you lift weights it tears the muscle fibres, then the muscles heal.
Good answer Hayden. So exercises helps us build our muscles. So Is that why we sometimes have sore muscles after exercising?
Deletewhy do we have more bones as a baby
ReplyDeletebabies have more bones because as they grow many of our bones fuse together and form one bone instead of two

ReplyDeletewhy does our collarbone break easily
ReplyDeleteBecause your bones in-between your sternum and your shoulder are very slender and our ligaments are not very strong there
good answer Jazz
DeleteBecause if your muscles are not warm before you start exercising then they will not be able to move as flexibly as when they are warm and you are more likely to pull or strain a muscle.
ReplyDeleteGood Mitch
DeleteBecause if your muscles are not warm before you start exercising then they will not be able to move as flexibly as when they are warm and you are more likely to pull or strain a muscle.
ReplyDeleteWhy do you have to stretch?
ReplyDeleteWhen you sleep, your muscles lose tone and the fluids usually gathers along your back. Stretching helps to get the fluids moving into the normal position.
Is arthritis a myth?

I didnt now there were that many types of arthritis!
DeleteWhat makes our muscles grow?
ReplyDeleteThe growth of our muscles occurs when the rate of our muscle protein synthesis is larger than the rate of our muscle protein breakdown.
good Bailey
